Pastor Clinton C. Smith was born and raised in Dallas, TX and began singing at the age of 11. Being raised without his father in his life propelled Clinton to being auto-didactic. If there was anything he needed, obtaining it, whatever the cost wasn't a problem. A life of drugs, stealing, gangs and running the streets led him to believe that the streets provided more love for him than being home. Not recognizing the life he'd learn to know as 'great' was coming to a screeching halt; circumstance and pure detriment gave him the greatest reality check he could have ever experienced, this made Clinton teach himself how to be a man. The moment God snatched him out of the enemies hands, his life changed forever.
For many years Clinton Smith, struggled with who God was creating him to become. The comprehension of God's calling hadn’t come in to clear vision for Clinton, until he grew tired of ducking and dodging God. Upon giving God his earnest, "Yes", Clinton soon learned that saying, "Yes” to God, was not equivalent to him knowing what God’s plan would be for his life. The plan & vision God had for who Clinton Smith must become became evident in January of 2009, when God placed a unique anointing upon the man & life we know today as Pastor Clinton C. Smith. God’s anointing, power, grace and extended mercy, ushered him into to a life of exuberant Praise and Worship, which has completely taken over his life.
Both praise and worship is an undeniable aroma that causes God to move. The atmosphere of praise sets up a meeting with God and Worship ushers you into His presence. These two components have properly set the foundation for, C.C. Smith & Praise Works Ministry, which was divinely ordained by God!! As the Founder of C.C. Smith & Praise Works Ministry, Pastor Clinton Smith accepted the call to not only minister through praise & worship but also through preaching and teaching, the fundamentals concerning the kingdom of God. The unique anointing God has placed on his life, has allowed him to build a diverse congregation of praisers that compels all who listens.
Clinton Smith has shared the stage with such artist as Myron Butler & Levi, Trisha Green, Zebulon Ellis, George Huff and Dorinda Clark Cole to name a few. Pastor Smith, has taught as well as led praise & worship workshops for churches throughout the DFW Metroplex. He has shared the pulpit with great Pastors, such as: Prophet Terrell Turner, Apostle Bishop Lionel Childress, Pastor Johnasen L. Pack and many more. It is his earnest prayer that God opens doors around the world for him to sing and preach the power of praise. David says, in Psalms 150:6 “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!"
